About Carlee
Carlee Tressel Alson is the author of Rolling On: Two Hundred Years of Blair Iron and Steel (Parafine, 2020), the corporate history of one of the most successful and longest-running steelmakers in the U.S.
Working as an independent writer and editor, Carlee has helped numerous corporations, small businesses, nonprofits, entrepreneurs, and fellow writers tell their stories.
Carlee's own short fiction and essays have appeared in a variety of publications, including Car Bombs to Cookie Tables: The Youngstown Anthology, Casing Sport Communication, From the Edge of the Prairie, The Under Review, and Belt Magazine.
She is a graduate of the University of Chicago and holds an MFA from Hamline University in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Raised in Youngstown, Ohio, Carlee now lives and farms with her family in Jasper County, Indiana.
